Sounds horrible, I am sorry for that.

Well, first thing, is your mother traumatically affected by this, and if she is she could try talking to your dad, and if not that, another way to find closure is seeing a therapist, but you of all people should not dwell on her problem, sounds selfish, but when you think constantly of someone else's problem, it affects you and you could become emotionally depressed. Sorry again, never can imagine a thing like that.

How do you know this? Because I can't believe your mother would tell you, so I'm just kind of wondering how you would know.
Call the police and charge charges on them !
